Celebrating Black Business Wealth
“From the Harlem Renaissance to the 21st Century”
Join African-American titans of industry and their community of supporters as we recognize the work, diligence, and commitment of African-American businesses. Promote your brand while networking and experience an evening of dinner, awards, dancing and jazz reminiscent of the Harlem Renaissance.
Highlights of the event include a presentation of the inaugural Anthony Overton Business Trailblazer Award, which will be presented to an individual who symbolizes significant minority business entrepreneurial achievement. Anthony Overton was a businessman and social activist whose diverse business holdings in the early 20th century included an international cosmetics company, publications, a bank and an insurance company. The award recipient will embody Mr. Overton’s standards of excellence and leadership.
Four scholarships will be debuted in honor of the founders of The Presidents’ RoundTable. Scholarships are awards to students “in need” from a local historically Black college or university who aspire to achieve their entrepreneurial goals using a solid base of business and communications skills:
Ray Haysbert Scholarship
Dorothy Brunson Scholarship
Osborne Payne Scholarship
Terry Addison Scholarship
